END OF THE FIRST TERM

END OF THE FIRST TERM:

I expected from the first term to learn more about photography and I did because of the tips that we learned (the rule of thirds...) and it was interesting to do the presentation about the photographer, because I learned a lot from Cartier-Bresson and his technique (and how you have to wait to capture the best moment). I liked the lettering thing as well, because it's another subject that I really enjoy doing it.
Maybe the part that I enjoyed the least was the mass media stuff because there wasn't any creative thing involved and it was more theoretical.

OUR PHOTO INSPIRED BY CARTIER-BRESSON

OUR PHOTO:

I took this photo in the slope of my house to make it look like it was taken in the street (which it pretty much was). I was inspired or lets say I tried to copy another picture of Cartier-Bresson. In his photo there was a kid jumping while carrying two bottles and making a weird and funny face to the camera, and that was exactly what I told my cousin to do (yes, the kid that appears in the picture is my cousin and his name is Beñat). I actually had to pay my cousin (who is a very smart kid as you can see) 5€ to him to be in the picture.
After taking the picture I edited it and put it in black and white because that's how all Henri's photos are.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS:

The rule of thirds:

In this first picture we can see that the part that you focus (the two people in the picture) are in the right side of the photo.

Magic hour:

This picture was taken at 8 am and that's why the light is with that special color ( it's taken in winter and that's why it is at that hour ). The magic hour is the hour of the day ( it can be in the morning or in the afternoon ) where you have a better light to take pictures.

Frame without a frame:

In this picture we can see that the picture is actually framed without using a frame. It's actually framed because of that window that you can see in the photo.

Leading lines:

You can see in this picture the fake lines that are made by top of the buildings.

Background:

As you can notice in the photo there's a simple background (which is white), because it's really important to care about how the background looks like and not take a picture while you are standing in front of some bins or something like that.

MILAN PRESENTATION

We had to do a presentation about a city in Europe. We were asked to plan our holidays in there, so we had to look for flights, a youth host...
